Data Protection Officer (DPO)

In accordance with Art. 41 of the LGPD (Law 13,709/2018), Trace Documents has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for accepting complaints and communications from data subjects and the ANPD, and guiding employees and contractors on data protection practices.

DPO Responsibilities

The Data Protection Officer is responsible for: accepting and processing complaints and communications from data subjects and the ANPD; providing clarifications and taking appropriate actions; guiding employees and contractors on data protection practices; performing other duties as determined by the controller or supplementary regulations.

Your rights as a data subject

  • Right of access — request and receive a copy of all your personal data
  • Right of correction — request correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data
  • Right of deletion — request the elimination of your personal data when applicable
  • Right of portability — export your data in a structured format
  • Right of revocation — revoke previously granted consents at any time
  • Right to information — know with whom your data has been shared

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of your rights, you can: (1) access your account settings on the platform; (2) use the Contact page or DPO channels when available; (3) send mail to the address above, when available. Response time is up to 15 days.

Document protection vs. personal data protection

The rights above concern processing of personal data (LGPD). The platform's document protection techniques (watermarking, fingerprinting, steganography) are technical measures to deter and help trace file leaks — they do not replace LGPD obligations, do not physically prevent every copy or capture, and do not guarantee 100% detection. Technical limitations are detailed in the Terms of Use (section 6).

If you believe that your personal data processing violates the law, you may file a petition with the ANPD (National Data Protection Authority).
