These Terms govern your use of Trace Documents. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to the conditions below. Please read carefully.

1. Acceptable use

You agree to use the platform only for lawful and authorized purposes. Prohibited activities include: abuse or reverse engineering attempts; uploading malware or unlawful content; unauthorized access to third-party accounts; automated use (scraping, bots) without express authorization.

2. Intellectual property

The platform technology, brand, source code and components remain property of Trace Documents and its licensors. Your files and data remain yours — we claim no ownership over the content you upload.

3. User content

You are responsible for the content you upload. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your documents (generate fingerprints, watermarks, encrypted storage) as necessary to provide the service. This license terminates when you delete your data or close your account.

4. Personal data processing

Personal data processing is carried out in accordance with the LGPD (Law 13,709/2018). Details about collection, usage, sharing and your rights are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. For specific consents (marketing, non-essential cookies), we use granular mechanisms with audit trails.

5. Limitation of liability

Trace Documents applies strong security and availability practices, but cannot guarantee zero interruptions or failures. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the last 12 months, except in cases of intent or gross negligence, as permitted by applicable law.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts in cases of misuse, Terms violations or legal requirements. You may close your account at any time in settings. After termination, your data will be processed according to the Data Retention Policy.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of São Paulo — SP are elected as the exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes.
